“Any help with corporation tax makes a massive difference to us and working with randd was a really positive experience.”
Balance Design (UK) Limited are industry leaders in creating 3D space design and virtual reality technology. They have successfully been awarded R&D tax credits through the services of randd.
Balance Design began as a marketing design company that excelled at designing physical spaces for commercial purposes. They have since grown into an expert and highly-regarded space design business through the use of innovative 3D design technology, working with several multi-national clients.
Director, Jonathan Murfitt, has described R&D tax credits as being instrumental in helping the company grow as the capital rewarded to the business is invested in new technology. With the help of R&D tax credits, Balance Design created new technology which provides near real experiences using computer generated images. As a result, they became the first ever company to provide virtual reality experiences to the cruise ship industry.
The types of R&D involved in creating the new technology included trial and error, extensive research, the creation of prototypes, and systems testing. Through R&D, the company created a highly customisable 3D space modelling solution which was cheaper and quicker to use for their customers.
Jonathan commented, “Any help with corporation tax makes a massive difference to us and working with randd was a really positive experience.”
